My host university is in Eskisehir, and that is where I am living this year. It is built on a Phrigian site.
Yunus Emre and Nasrettin Hoca (Hodja) were from Eskisehir. Eskisehir.The Porsuk River runs through the town, and there are many small colorful bridges and a charming cafe-filled promenade. Eskisehir is only about an hour and a half west of Ankara by fast train (hizli TDCC). Ayse and I explored the city when she visited me on my second weekend there.
